Notification Period:
21 April 2020
To
21 May 2020

This is to notify the general public that the Phuentsholing Thromde will be implementing the contact tracing mobile app called “Druk Trace” as developed by the Government.

The app is to be used for “Contact Tracing” by helping with the identification of people who come in direct contact with a COVID-19 infected person while visiting public places or while using public transportation. This will help to prevent local transmission of the virus in the country.

The app can be downloaded from the Ministry of Health website (www.moh.gov.bt) or Google Play store or Apple App store (will be available soon). Therefore, all individuals entering the Thromde office are mandated to scan the QR code every time they enter which will be publicly displayed at the entrance of the office. Those without smartphones will be required to provide contact information at the entrance of the office.

We would like to inform the general public to refrain from generating unnecessary QR codes from the app, use the app as intended, and refrain from sharing the QR codes in social media.

Thank you for your kind cooperation as always.
